It’s time again for H&8th Night Market in Midtown!
And as you probably know, the oh-so-modestly sized event has grown just a tad, and is being joined by new players.
The not-for-profit food truck fest darling is back with an expanded territory and will have 30 trucks at the ready starting at 7 p.m., along with plentiful streams of beer at the local craft beer lounge, ear treats from Beau Jennings & The Tigers, QUIL, Porch Mice and Massey, DNA Racing‘s bike valet, and quite a few surprises.
Two big newcomers are making grand entrances in conjunction with H&8th, and if you aren’t dedicating the whole evening to food, beer and music, you might want to make your way over to the brand new Industry Flea Market and welcome Oklahoma City University School of Law to the neighborhood at their event, HoopLAW.
Industry Flea Market, “an open-air market of artisans, shops and vintage finds,” is the sister project of the Holiday Pop-Up Shops and will bring recurring retail and unique goods to the district in partnership with H&8th. They’ll be located right next door to The Bleu Garten in the same spot the beloved Pop-Up Shops’ igloos were last November and December.
Oklahoma City University School of Law opens its new home’s doors at the newly renovated former Central High School at Harvey and 9th just east of all the food trucks. They’ll be enticing people to come view their plaza with an outdoor screening of the OU Basketball game, a DJ, lawn and table games, and something everyone can usually get behind: a photo booth.
To get yourself ready for tonight, here’s a promo we were commissioned for last year. We want the city to thrive. We want events like H&8th to thrive and sustain themselves. You can play a part in that by helping keep H&8th free. Show ’em some love.
